On Christmas Eve I made Chili and we just hung out. My friend Kristy and her husband Josh came by and took some pictures for us. We were hiding their bikes for their kids Christmas in our garage!! So they had to come and get them! The picture of John and Jackson at the counter was them watching me cook. They were so cute! Jackson LOVES his Daddy! It's becoming more and more obvious how much each day! It was a very restful and peaceful night. Odd not being with family but we tried to ignore that part as much as possible! We were kind of sad on Christmas Eve and day just because it's a family holiday and we were missing our family!! We sure did count our blessings for Jackson and reminded ourselves that was why we were still in Austin for Christmas. That helped to remind us we would rather have him than not have him!! :) Do you think Jackson loved being smooshed between our kisses!!! HAHA!! We just smother him with kisses all the time!! The first picture is actually him during his morning nap Christmas day. I just forgot to post and he just looks so beautiful in it!! Who would think that baby is mine though!!?? Look at that skin and hair! It's just so funny!! We were sure thankful for all those gifts under our tree, which were 95% Jackson's!! Thank you!! We had SO much fun opening them for him!! I would oped two or three and then John would! We just passed him back and forth! Amy, the talking parrot you bought him (fake fyi!!) has already picked up his cooing and talked back to him. He just stares at it and I would just love to know what he's thinking when it repeats back his coos!!! So funny! Where did you find such a thing! I will try to take video and see if I can upload it to the blog! Thanks to everyone for making our Christmas so special!

What a happy santa family in all your santa hats! You have quite a few packages under the tree for "skipping" gifts this year. We loved the talking parrot! we wanted to send a message to you but there is not way to play it back since he only repeats what you just said... such a fun toy! we found it at cracker barrel.
A Talking Parrot? That is hysterical! Great find for a baby! Looks like a nice cozy time making first Christmas memories as a family of three! Cherish it!
