John's New Ride!!
Somehow I posted the pictures below of John and the cars before I meant to! It was pretty emotional I think to say goodbye to Billy and Kristi's Saturn. It felt sad. John said that everyone starred at him and his melted door. Especially at drive thru's!!! So we had to get a good picture of the door because that is such a memory now for him!! We are forever grateful to Billy and Kristi for helping us out with a car when we really needed it. That car has been thru so much and had so many memories for their family and for us. John said that every car he touches ends up having no air conditioning. What a state to have no air condtioning!! His white plymouth before the saturn had no air either so they rescued him by giving us the Saturn. It just felt bad to see it go. We are forever grateful to the green saturn and to Billy and Kristi for giving it to us. Thank you!!!

Thank you Katy and John for the sweet words about the car. Billy & I were more than happy to let you have the Saturn. I remember talking about it and saying if you could get another year out of it you would be in much better shape to buy something else. Well, you got 2 years out of it!!! That car does have memories. It reminds me of my first job after college (that allowed me to buy it), reminds me of hitting a deer on I-70 in Kansas in 12:00 am and getting so allergic my eyes swelled shut. It reminds me of bring home my first baby and learning how to buckle in my first car seat. It taught me how to drive and help my babies pick up their "bobbies" and their toys from the back seat floor and still stay on the road. It allowed me to bring my second baby home from the hospital safely to a new house only 3 blocks away. And then, it reminds me of our house fire that melted the driver door leaving it for people to wonder....
Good times in that car.
